THE JOB

The Business Analyst is a key member of our Concerts Business Systems team within Live Nation organization. In addition to being responsible for business analyses, the Business Analyst would work directly with the project team and clients gathering requirements to analyze, design and/or implement technology best practice business changes. We are seeking candidates who are proactive, self-starters and have a proven track record. They should also have experience in bridging the gap between initial client requests and fully developed requirements that can be presented to development teams. Translates business needs into actionable requirements by gathering enough information to inform a solution and drive clarity to make rational decisions. The ideal candidate should be an accomplished professional who possesses the passion, experience, skills and abilities to help support our expanding services.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Planning, coordinating, scheduling, and executing assignments on functional/non-functional requirements and specifications
  • Partner with stakeholders to shape requirements and ensure alignment with business/technology strategy and planned initiatives
  • Meeting and collaborating with stakeholders, subject matter experts (SME), developers, system testers, and QA/UAT testers
  • Leading and facilitating meetings to compile, and document functional/non-functional requirements and specifications
  • Collaborate with division stakeholders, data services and other functional teams as needed to understand the impact of analysis across multiple areas of the business
  • Advises client on alternate methods of solving need or problem, or recommends specific solution
  • Evaluate and address cross-functional and cross-system dependencies
  • Responsible for understanding business requirements, creating/grooming user stories, documenting detailed technical specifications to guide developers in implementation, and partnering with the functional architect to deliver a solution and a plan
  • Perform system configuration and administrative activities on the Salesforce platform
  • Perform declarative development activities including extracting and checking-in the associated metadata changes
  • Extract, update, and load data changes to make updates across large volumes of records
  • Troubleshoot and identify root causes of system defects both in development and production support
  • Automate routine tasks with scripting, coding, and/or office automation tools
  • Leverage business knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for process improvements; serve as a trusted technology advisor for business users.
  • Participate in the change management and go live support processes.
  • Maintain a high-level familiarity with other IT system / business application capabilities and scope definition in order to make recommendations re: upstream/downstream integration or functionality intersection points.
  • Coordinate and perform system testing to ensure requirements are met. Work closely with project team during user acceptance testing (UAT), including tracking issues through to resolution and securing end user acceptance sign-off.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum experience of 3 years of Business Analyst experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform or 3-5 years on an equivalent CRM or development platform
  • Preferred, 2-3 years in an Agile environment
  • Preferred, experience with Atlassian products (Jira/Confluence)
  • Required, abilities to write and run complex SQL queries to pull data
  • Strong Excel skills – must be comfortable analyzing large quantities of data utilizing Excel, create complex formulas, pivots and develop models
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Superior presentation and negotiation skills
  • Proven management and organizational skills
  • Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments
  • Passion for learning.
  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw insights and recommendations from analysis and present well-developed product requirement documents (PRDs) to internal stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts and ability to process detailed, multi-step calculations, replicating and validating system-facilitated calculations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with technical, non-technical audiences and executive audiences
  • Ability to understand and translate ambiguous business terminology and jargon into clear definitions and specifications
  • Detail oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Flexible and responsive to changing situations and capable of reacting quickly to changes in a fluid environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and deadline pressures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to manage competing priorities with little supervisory input
