LongPath Technologies uses Nobel Prize-winning laser technology to combat climate change by mitigating greenhouse gas emissions from the natural gas supply chain. Our effort to provide over 1000 mi² of proven, continuous methane emissions monitoring across the oil and gas industry by the end of 2022 led LongPath to be named the Colorado Photonics Industry Association (CPIA) Company of the Year. To support this rapid growth we are looking for key individuals to join our talented, dynamic team. LongPath is a technology startup and as such, the chosen applicant should understand that working more than 40 hours per week, during evenings, weekends and holidays, may be required.

 

LongPath is hiring a Monitoring & Data Analyst to monitor data connections and information flow, develop internal data analytic, and perform emission and concentration data analysis using customer data. The successful candidate will focus on real-time data analytics development, system performance and customer alerting. The Data Analyst position will also act as a key member of the system deployment preparation and planning team and will identify and remedy error and outlier data related to internal data analytics and customer data dashboards.

Key job responsibilities will include:

●       Planning & prep for new field system data streams

●       Work with technical teams to develop custom Spotfire dashboarding

●       Internal data management & streamlining of data flows

●       Real-time data tracking

●       Management of data alerts and customer response

●       Analysis of concentration and emissions data

Key skills:

●       SQL/noSQL (ideal but not required)

●       Linux (ideal but not required)

●       Experience with high-level and independent data analysis tasks (required)

●       Experience with data visualization platforms like Spotfire (ideal but not required)

●       Experience with Python, especially in the context of advanced statistical analysis using TERR and data functions (ideal but not required)

●       A meticulous attention to detail

●       Able to effectively communicate with field and office staff via multiple methods of communication

●       The ability to efficiently multitask

Comfortable working on time sensitive tasks while remaining highly organized
