This role is a full time Product Analyst position working initially across two scrum team (London and Bangalore) to support the Product Owner/s in building the product backlog (writing user stories and acceptance criteria), getting stories ready (obtaining relevant access, performing data mapping, elaborating on solution detail) and supporting the team to deliver tools and products.

The successful applicant will have an interest or background in the application of Data Science and Analytics techniques and tools and be able to critically evaluate the team’s output and identify opportunities to deliver added value and exceed expectations.

Prior experience in capturing and documenting business requirements for the application of Data Science and Machine Learning to find patterns in data and causality is important but not essential.
Operational Analytics deliver and support several analytics and data science capabilities including:

Delivery of Business Intelligence via provision of dashboards, visualisations and ad-hoc data analysis tools

Development of algorithms and machine learning models to improve our understanding and prediction of operational issues and opportunities in Business Service Delivery encompassing technology and process

Pioneering of a Machine Learning Operations (ML-Ops) model within LSEG to allow rapid prototyping, deployment, testing, and rollout of machine learning applications

Analytics / Data Science consultative service – partnering with operational and business colleagues to understand business needs and recommend/trial data driven solutions and approaches.
What you’ll be doing

Meet with stakeholders to understand operational business needs, pain points and opportunities

Write Epics and User Stories and help to define Acceptance Criteria

Support the teams to refine and deliver user stories by undertaking groundwork (e.g. data mapping, detailed requirements elaboration, obtaining access credentials)

Act as a delegate for the Product Owner as required to prioritize, clarify, and accept work as ‘Done’

Support the Product Owner in documenting and cataloguing the Operational Analytics suite of Products and analysis of utilization / usage patterns.

Support the promotion and adoption of Operational Analytics by critically evaluating the Products against known and anticipated use cases.

Identify opportunities for the team to experiment, ‘fail-fast’ and innovate

Use tools while they are in beta testing to suggest usability improvements
You’ll Bring:

Strong stakeholder management skills including requirements gathering and workshop facilitation.

Solid technical understanding of analytics and data science concepts/techniques including machine learning, CI/CD, data modelling, relational databases, and cloud computing basics.

A commitment to delivering value consistently and at pace – finding creative solution to overcome delivery obstacles

Familiarity with Agile ways of working, particularly Scrum and writing User Stories.
Some understanding of trading / trading operations domains would be advantageous.
