McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a full-time Data and Analytics Intern Summer 2023 in Hunt Valley located at 24 Schilling Road. This is a 10-week internship (June 2023 – August 2023) which requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

McCormick is looking to add energetic and ambitious data and analytics talent to help us unlock value working directly with IT and business data scientists and practitioners.
Options For The Work You Will Do
- Work with our business partners to assess relevant industry trends and identify business requirements to help us successfully build capabilities and solutions to meet our long term data and analytics objectives.
- Demonstrate continuous learning in industry best practices for data services, analytic modeling and analytics solutions.
- Option to leverage technologies such as: Microsoft Azure (Cloud, Synapse, ML, Purview, Power BI) and Google Cloud Platform including Big Query.
- Participate as a business analyst, data engineer, solution architect and/or machine learning engineer on data services/analytics initiatives. (examples may include – data democratization, data modeling, ETL, data virtualization and/or data visualization.)
- Working with our analytics COE’s, potential to participate in understanding, defining and/or developing insights for various global business functions.
Required Skills
- Pursing degree in math, statistics, computer science, economics or related field
- Experience working with data in any of the following languages: Python, SQL, Java, Scala, R
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical users across teams and geographies
- Ability to visualize results and present to peers and business
- Curiosity to learn new technology
- Strong organization and communication skills
Nice To Have
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)
- Interest in supporting cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Understanding of ELT/ETL and data warehousing concepts
- Proficiency building dashboards using data visualization tools (PowerBI, Data Studio, Tableau)
- Familiarity with machine learning or machine learning operations
