Medata, Inc. a company known for our innovation and technology in the Risk Management Industry is seeking a FT Data Analyst to join our talented team in Irvine, CA. The focus of the position is on developing and maintaining several data-driven projects and tools. The candidate will collect business requirements, perform data gathering, analysis, and transformation, develop product / project documentation, and provide internal and external customer support by troubleshooting issues. This role is also responsible for developing visual reports and dashboards to help draw insights on program performance. The candidate must have creative mindset, strong critical thinking and analytical skills and be attentive to details.
Duties:
- Data Analysis: Extract, manipulate, analyze, and audit data from multiple data sources. Work with cross-business and technical teams to decide what data sets need to be collected and analyzed for the current project and in the future.
- Data Modeling: Verify and transform collected data sets and load into the data model using MySQL.
- Data Verification: Analyze data for discrepancies and identify errors and abnormalities in the data.
- Data Visualization: Create informative dashboards using Medata Business Intelligent product to help users discover actionable insights and better understand their book of business.
- Business Rules Support: Turn business rules requirements into data-driven technical requirements. Implement rules to expedite workflows and automate processes.

Requirements / Skills / Qualifications: *
- Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related field.
- Solid experience with SQL including table structuring, creating queries and stored procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
