JR20386 Innovation Engineer, People Analytics
Micron’s People Strategy and Analytics Team is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting innovative solutions that enable leaders to make key workforce decisions. This role is part of a core team that focuses on the future of work and how technology can be used to work more efficiently across highly distributed teams.
Initiatives you will be working on include the use of robotic process automation to streamline repetitive tasks, usage of digital agents to deliver always-on support for team members and people leaders and prototyping the use of virtual/augmented reality devices for more immersive collaboration.
You will be working closely with the data engineering and advance analytics teams who are building and managing data structures in the People Data Warehouse (People DW), organizing data into reports, visualizations, and developing advance data science models. We use a variety of platforms and technologies for our work including Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, Integration Services, Reporting Services, Power BI, SharePoint, Workday Reporting and RStudio Connect.
You will be responsible for evaluating potential solutions by iterative prototyping proof of concepts using a wide range of technologies including user interfaces in standard web technologies, consuming RESTful APIs in C# or Python, and developing SQL queries against Microsoft SQL databases.
A successful candidate should have the following skills:
- Software development experience in C# and Python (experience with R a plus)
- Software development frameworks such as Angular, Node.js or Reactive
- Database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL (familiarity with graph databases a plus)
- Real-time data interfaces between 3rd party systems using synchronous and asynchronous APIs
- Single Sign On architectures and interfaces
- Robotic Process Automation tools such as UiPath
- Translation of complex technical language into simple concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Development of innovative solutions using rapid prototyping and iterative software lifecycle
- Familiarity with HR systems, specifically Workday
- Troubleshooting of technical problems
- Prior experience with Microsoft Workplace Analytics is a plus
- Prior experience with Meta Oculus Quest 2 is a plus
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Web Design, and/or Information Systems or equivalent experience required.
- 5-10 years in hands-on experience with software development
