Position Summary:
The HIM Data Integrity Analyst is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective resolution of documentation errors in the medical record. The incumbent corrects medical records documentation errors; performs Master Patient Index (MPI) maintenance; merges/unmerges medical records (patient duplicates and overlays); moves incorrectly assigned encounters to the appropriate patient record; monitors appropriate queues and systems to identify, resolve, communicate the documentation error and validates the medical record documentation error has been resolved or remediated.
Minimum Requirements:
Three (3) years of experience in HIM required; graduation from a RHIT program and/or RHIT credentials may be considered in lieu of experience
One (1) year of experience with Epic and the Epic Chart Correction Toolkit
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Associate’s degree in Health Care preferred
