Data Engineer

mXa, an M&A Consultancy and division of Method360, transforms business processes and associated technology solutions of leading companies to increase their value, and their business effectiveness. Currently, we are leading several transformation projects and we are looking to add Data Engineers to our rapidly growing team.
mXa is client-focused and tailors our approach based on client needs. Projects often employ a technology stack including Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle and UKG to deliver greenfield designs and improved solutions.
Our typical projects start with enterprise design, where decisions are made to assign functionality among the technology stack. We build our enterprise solutions around the classic business processes, Lead to Quote, Order to Cash, Record to Report, Plan to Produce, Procure to Pay and Hire to Retire.
Following the enterprise design, we use build teams to provide: configured end-to-end systems, organizational splits and consolidated environments, application integration, analytics, data migration and management, and organizational change management.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for assessing and delivering data migration tracks for various projects. Day-to-day project tasks will require you to:
- Work with clients to design the appropriate ETL process to move data between systems.
- Map data between systems, identifying the correct extracts, and writing the transformation logic / script for ongoing use
- Test the extraction, transformation, and load of the data that needs to be migrated
- Perform root cause analysis as necessary
Required Skills:
- 3-7 years’ experience migrating data from CRM, CPQ, and/or ERP data migration tracks with aggressive timelines
- 3+ years experience with ETL subsystems and/or integration subsystems (e.g. informatica, boomi, mulesoft, etc.)
- Experience writing scripts/code. This is a hands-on role. We are looking for someone that likes to dig into integration, see the data.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with various DBMSs
- Understand POC and have experience with an agile like approach
- Prototype while we are documenting.
- Strong client facing experience with the ability to go to the right individual and gather the information to execute.
- Phenomenal communication and excellent critical thinking
- Strong data analysis skills and experience
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Boomi and Data Loader
- Experience working at a Consulting Firm is highly preferred
