Job Summary
As a data scientist and member of the Engineering Tools at NetApp you will identify opportunities for productivity improvements in dev/test workflows related to the core technologies offered by NetApp. You will process, analyze and interpret huge datasets using statistical, graphical and machine learning techniques. You will build models of complex systems with a goal of understanding, predicting and fine-tuning their behaviors. You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify problems where AI/ML is a good fit, and then develop, deploy and monitor a solution. Your work will be critical to the productivity of a large software development organization and recognized as such.This position requires you to be creative, enthusiastic, team-oriented, technology savvy, driven to produce results and demonstrate leadership.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with Machine Learning end to end workflows, from Data extraction, Analysis, Model creation/evaluation/deployment
- Strong programming skills in Python, Jupyter notebooks, and experience with packages such as scikit-learn, numpy, pandas, gxboost.
- Strong SQL skills
- Strong visualization skills (preferably Tableau)
- Experience with ML cloud frameworks (preferably AWS Sagemaker)
- Experience with NLP tools and techniques a plus
- Experience with containerization and orchestration
- Experience with SRE tooling (such as Influx/Grafana) a plus
- Experience using AI/ML to enhance SW development service (build/test) a plus
- Possess and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to estimate work completion required to build an overall predictable plan
- Strong understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practices
- Work on very complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation
- Creative and analytical approach to problem solving
Education
Requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree
