Salary: $25.00/hour
29 hours/week
Work Location: Mid-town Manhattan
The New York Jobs CEO Council is seeking a Data Analyst Intern to join the Data Strategy team. Data and metrics are at the core of the Jobs Council mission, and the Data Analyst Intern will join a team ready to leverage data to influence decisions and programming that will impact New Yorkers and workforce development for generations to come.
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Data Strategy, the Data Analyst Intern will serve as a thought-partner internally and support the team with data cleaning, organization, collection, and validation. The selected candidate will support the data strategy team by contributing to data visualizations for internal or external use, reports, dashboards, relational databases, CRM database implementation and integration, and other tools. The Data Analyst Intern will have strong research and analytical skills, with a deep intellectual curiosity for leveraging data for decision-making and learning new technologies. The Data Analyst Intern will have the ability to execute analyses and interpret data, both quantitative and qualitative, and familiarity with database platforms and integration of systems.

Required Qualifications:
- 0 – 2 years’ experience in data science, analysis and data management.
- Strong technical skills in Excel, PowerPoint, data collection, analysis, managing and reporting data, and data visualization.
- Strong technical skills with statistical analyses and software (e.g., R, SQL, Python).
- Familiarity with relational databases and CRM database structures.
- Familiarity with implementing and maintaining ETL processes, monitoring performance, and tuning as necessary.
- Excellent communication interpersonal skills and the ability to interpret and explain data trends and communicate data insights and program recommendations.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with queries and reporting writing.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments.
- Currently pursuing a degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related field.
