Senior Business Intelligence Developer – Analytics
The Sr. BI Developer develops and maintains reports and related data extracts from the Inpatient Clinical Information and Practice Management systems. Answers questions, sets expectations, plans, and implements products and services to meet user, enterprise reporting, and data analysis needs.
– Develops reports using BI applications; distributes, and provides support for reports. Maintains a support relationship with all users.
-Provides design support for the development of business intelligence solutions (such as self-service analytics, dashboards, interactive reports) and their continuous maintenance; provides problem solving assistance to end users.
– Analyzes and understands various data models in depth; proactively define data structures additions (views, distribution methods, intermediate tables, multidimensional cube) that would improve performance or add value.
-Manages and monitors scheduled execution of routine processes and reports, diagnosing and fixing any report-related issues.
-Maintains knowledge of industry standards and best practices, including HIPAA and IRB policies and procedures, to ensure all deliverables meet those standards.
This position works closely with clinical and business users and assists a multi-disciplinary team in the design, implementation, optimization, change management, and issue resolution related to the enterprise system.
Required CriteriaBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Epic Module Certification (Cogito) obtained within six months of employment. Three or more years of previous work related experience.
- Preferred Criteria: Degree or major in Computer Science.
Epic Certification.
Prior experience with data warehouse is desired.
Proficient in MS SQL database, T-SQL scripting, and database modeling.
