Position Title: Technical Support Engineer
Location: Chandler, AZ
Position Type: Full Time/Permanent
Shift: Compressed Shift: Back-Half Night Shift (Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Every other Saturday- 6:30pm-7am)
Environment: Cleanroom Environment (more than 50% of the time)
Travel: Domestic and International Travel Required
Position Overview:
Mainly responsible for guiding and supporting site service personnel in resolving technical issues, in terms of both proactive and reactive needs, either by solving problems directly or providing advanced technical advice.
Description of responsibilities:
- Role is key in leadership, formal & OJT training, and proliferation of materials to enhance skill levels of the Field Service Engineers.
- Necessary to write and review AP’s and technical documents (BKMs, TBs, FTA’s, etc.), based on lessons learned for knowledge proliferation.
- Additional duties include performing data analysis, log evaluation, offline diagnosis, and investigation.
- Must be willing to work extended hours on down tools and be available for on call support in the night and weekend as needed.
- Must be able to cover for STL on limited basis to help cover down tool escalation meetings or to cover for vacations as needed.
- Strong organizational skills are a must in terms of data organization in the form of Email, Action Plan, Post Mortems, procedures and FTA’s.
- Ability to multitask in overseeing and advising on multiple down tools is a requirement.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in EE, ME, EET, MET or ElectroMechanical Engineering or equivalent plus 2-8 years of related experience with a majority of the experience in lithography OR
- Associate’s degree in EET or MET plus 6-12 years related experience in electro-mechanical troubleshooting with the majority of experience in lithography
- Self-starter demonstrating technical competence of electrical, mechanical and optical systems or subsystems
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills to work effectively with co-workers, supervisors and customers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

- Previous experience with Nikon systems is strongly preferred
- Japanese language proficiency is a bonus
