SSSD is seeking a Business Process Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Redondo Beach, CA. Specifically, this position will join the Cost Management Team and will report to the Manager of Program Control.

In this role, the Business Process Analyst will analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems, such as production and inventory control systems, financial tracking systems, marketing, and human resources systems. The incumbent will represent the business unit to define requirements and business cases for the technology developments and coordinate with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls. This role requires knowledge of e-commerce tools, computer system capabilities, business processes, and workflow. A preferred candidate will have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of Business Systems, MPM and/or COBRA, SAP, and Earned Value and its implementation as it pertains to program business rhythms.

This position requires the incumbent to possess a Department of Defense (DoD) active Top Secret (TS) security clearance and/or access to Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI). The stated clearance level must have been updated within the last 6 years.

Responsibilities include:

  • An understanding of Micro-Frame Project Manager (MPM) and/or COst BReAkdown (COBRA), Earned Value Management (EVM), as well as broad knowledge of aerospace industry systems and procedures, including a working knowledge of PowerBi
  • Contributes to and/or creates customer reports such as IPMR and related CDRLs utilizing COst BReAkdown (COBRA) and winsight data
  • Use of program business systems and coordinating monthly business processes to enable the delivery of successful products to the program and customer
  • Facilitating improvements in monthly cost management processes to improve efficiencies
  • Process/procedure/compliance, and Ad Hoc program activities


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in any combination of analyzing business and technical processes, cost control and planning, complex data managment or 4 years of stated experience with a Master’s Degree
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVMS)
  • TS and/or SCI Access


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Current or previous experience working with restricted customers
  • Expert user in Micro-Frame Program Manager (MPM) and/or COst BReAkdown (COBRA), MS Office Tools

Salary Range: $92,200 USD – $138,400 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
