Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Release and AWS Infrastructure Manager with expertise in managing product code releases and infrastructure management in cloud environments. The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end releases for multiple products hosted on AWS cloud infrastructure, integrating DevSecOps practices. This role requires collaboration skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to drive process improvements in a fast-paced technical environment. You will be responsible for ensuring timely, secure, and efficient deployments to lower and production environments while maintaining a secure, scalable, high-performing cloud infrastructure by following the change management process.
What will you do in this role
Release Management:
  • Oversee and manage the release lifecycle, ensuring smooth deployments to production by working with multiple product development teams, testing teams, and production support teams.
  • Collaborate with software engineering, QA, and operations teams to define and implement release strategies, ensuring compliance and quality standards are met.
  • Utilize GitHub to manage code repositories, version control, and coordinate seamless code integration into the release process.

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as AWS CloudFormation and Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration management of AWS resources.
  • Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and disaster recovery strategies for mission-critical systems.
  • Leverage cloud-native monitoring tools to ensure the health, security, and performance of the infrastructure.
DevSecOps Integration and CI/CD Pipeline Automation:
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Manage and optimize GitHub repositories, ensuring code repository best practices and maintaining workflows within GitHub.
  • Facilitate and optimize the integration of GitHub with AWS and other DevOps tools to automate deployments and version tracking.
Process Improvement & Optimization:
  • Continuously evaluate and improve release management, cloud infrastructure processes, and DevSecOps practices to drive efficiency, security, and scalability.

  • Automate manual processes through scripting to enhance operational efficiency and reduce human errors.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product teams, Engineering, QA, CTO Teams) in managing and maintaining the release infrastructure along with the deployment process to ensure efficient and secure releases.
  • Act as a liaison between development, operations, and other business units to ensure smooth, secure, and compliant software releases.
  • Provide regular updates and transparent reporting to senior management regarding release schedules, infrastructure performance, and security initiatives.
What should you have
  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or any Technology Stream from a renowned University or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, release management , and DevOps roles, with at least 5 years focused on AWS cloud environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, IAM, VPC security, encryption) and related cloud management tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in integrating DevSecOps practices into CI/CD pipelines , including automation tools and techniques (Preferred: GitHub/GitHub Actions).
  • Experience with configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and AWS Cloud Formation
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and connections in cloud environments; infrastructure architect experience is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Shell.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

The position is a mid-senior role, requiring product management knowledge within the areas of data engineering, data science, advanced analytics techniques, research and development, or innovation, ideally within one or more of the Cybersecurity sciences (e.g. network, endpoint and cloud security, cryptography, malware analysis, vulnerability assessment, privileged access management, anomaly/intrusion detection, incident response, or offensive security).

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for delivering value to our clients by managing the team product backlog. You will work within an Agile Scrum team, understanding the roles, needs, pressures, and measures of success for our internal customers to identify how creative analytics products can help them achieve their goals.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical project management background, an eagerness to learn, a keen interest in Cybersecurity, the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and an aptitude for picking up new tools and techniques on the job, building on existing skillsets as a foundation.

Principal Accountabilities

 Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, adopting the Agile delivery lifecycle.

 Collaborate closely with the team to define the project scope, objectives, requirements, and timeline.

 Identifying, managing, and communicating dependencies and risks to project delivery.

 Actively manage and monitor project progress and resolve Risks, Issues, Assumptions and Dependencies and escalating as required, making recommendations to influence decision-making to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation.

Required Skills

The successful candidate will possess skills and experience within one or more of the following areas and demonstrate a willingness to learn additional skills via certification and/or on-the-job learning where required.

Project Management

  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or in a similar role within an Agile environment.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is aligned with client needs and business objectives.
  • Prioritize backlog items on client value, strategic goals, and resource availability.
  • Clearly communicate the backlog items and their priorities to the development team.
  • Experience with successfully implementing production technology products with an advanced understanding of the methods, principals, and process necessary to set priorities of development teams to successfully productionize a technology product.

Client Engagement

  • Experience in engaging with clients and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Understand clients’ roles, needs, and pressures to identify opportunities for innovative product solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to gather requirements and translate them into actionable user stories.
  • Act as the voice of the client within the Agile Scrum team, ensuring products meet client expectations.

Agile Scrum Team Collaboration

  • Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and product management principles.
  • Ability to understand and translate client needs into actionable user stories and product requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Scrum team to develop and deliver high-quality products.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure the development team has a clear understanding of the product vision and goals.
  • Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and product management principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Cybersecurity Sciences

 Knowledge of technical software or background of working with software engineering technologies and principles

 Understanding of cybersecurity threat and risk management landscape, including the evolving international regulation, policy, framework, and organisational cyber controls response to these threats

 Artificial Intelligent/Machine Learning (AI/ML) Security and Automation

Data & Analytics with (Cybersecurity specialism)

 Knowledge of key cybersecurity data sources (e.g. endpoint detection & response, firewall logs, proxy logs, and vulnerability reports), how they are used in AI/ML solutions/metrics and visualisations, how this improves the security posture of the Bank.
