Job Purpose

The Trainee Associate will join the Master Data Management team within Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). The Master Data Management Operations team is responsible for building and maintaining corporate company-wide data uniformity. This position will be responsible for managing high-level data sets (Business Entity, Client Segmentation, Contact Data etc.) and onboarding new acquisitions on schedule. The successful candidate will work on new and existing projects in close collaboration with teams that include Data Warehouse, Sales, Finance, and other stakeholders.

The analyst must be results-oriented, self-motivated and have the ability to thrive in a fast-pace environment. The candidate must have the ability to work independently; must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; must have excellent organizational skills and decision-making ability.

Responsibilities

• Candidates are responsible for analyzing various levels of client specific information and to ensure that it is populated into the database of record in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.
• Clearly and concisely document requirements for each project being undertaken.
• Assist in evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, and determining best path forward.
• Performs changes to master data following established processes including but not limited to create, change, activate/deactivate or otherwise modify master data.
• Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate procedures or improvements.
• Utilize Salesforce, ORMB, and Capital IQ to reconcile data outputs.
• Work closely with other team members and cross-functional team members.

Knowledge and Experience

• Advanced experience in MS Excel which includes Pivot Tables, Vlookup, Index and Concatenate etc.
• Excellent communication skills. Position must communicate clearly, respectfully, and effectively with many different types of people and departments across the firm.
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Purpose of Role

• The purpose of this role is to execute the creation and amendment of Finance Master Data in SAP for relevant markets within the agreed lead-times to support the Global Finance activities. This includes creation of cost centre, profit centre, internal orders, GL accounts and amendments, whilst maintaining business compliance. The role will also involve some business reporting.

Top 3 Accountabilities:

Data Maintenance

• To pro-actively create and maintain Master Data based on authorised business requests, according to the relevant policies and procedures and to agree SLA’s and KPI’s
• Review Master Data Quality to ensure data is accurate and complete.
• Work with the Data lead & Governance team to ensure Diageo best practise for data polices time to time with changes incorporated and implemented.
• Root cause analysis, corrective & preventive measures to support business if any data inaccuracy and escalation Point of view
• Develop preventing measures / improvement actions
• Awareness creation to business partners on RTR and financials domains

Process Improvement

• Identify and pursue opportunities to streamline processes and increase process compliance with our stakeholders.

Training and Capability Enhancement

• Train new team members and provide basic insight for stakeholders on Data related processes in SAP.
• Evaluate level of Right First-Time requests versus rejections to identify any capability gaps to be addressed.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Master / Bachelor’s degree level education, preferably with minimum of 7+ years Data Management/related discipline experience in Consumer Goods Company/FMCG
• Excellent communication skills including presentation, consulting, convincing abilities
• Attention to Detail/Accuracy – Demonstrates sound commitment to importance of “right first time” principle through ensuring own work is 99% error free
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
• Pro-active approach
• Highly energetic / self-motivated person

Desirable:

• Strong communication skills, able to clearly and concisely explain processes or reasons for leadership decision making process
• Knowledge of SAP FICO & Power BI is an added advantage
• Experienced in full Microsoft Office package, especially Excel
