Summary

SENIOR SYSTEMS ANALYST APP SYSTEMS Formulates and defines project scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form or desired results. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. May be responsible for leading the completion of a phase or activity in a large project or leading a small to medium project. Regularly provides guidance and training to less-experienced analyst/programmers. May have duties instructing, directing, and checking the work of other applications systems analysts and programming personnel. May have quality assurance review responsibilities or systems testing leadership responsibilities. Provides input on the evaluation of other associates

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• 
  Leads project activities to include customer communications , project administration, disposition of resources ad reporting. Identifies, surfaces and resolves project issues.
• 
  Functions as a project leader for small to medium projects, promote associate growth, productivity and continuous improvement through teamwork and coordination of team efforts.
• 
  Actively supports the Team Management and Quality Improvement Process through demonstrated commitment of its concepts and tools (teambuilding, zero defects, measurement, goal setting, process models, etc.).
• 
  Attain knowledge of technologies, Systems Development Methodology and Project Management tool; expertise and develops management skills. Be proactive in uses of technology for productivity improvements.
• 
  Effectively completes all phases of project development per the Company Systems Development Methodology.

The nature of supervision required by Systems Analysts deals with resolving issues across departmental boundaries or involving higher level managers. Contact is frequent, but more informative the instructive on a routine basis. Coaching is provided to prepare this person for systems management responsibilities. Frequent contact to ensure the supervisor is in agreement with the course of action selected and logic behind decision-making process. This person often represents views of MIS Management to the customer.

Minimum Education

Experience Requirements

BS degree or equivalent work experience preferably with studies in Information Systems or Computer Science plus 6 years related work experience. Rotating twenty-four hour systems support required. Knowledge in computer analysis, programming and systems development methodology. Must possess strong communications, interpersonal and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required., as the position requires direct communication with business analysts and end users. Must be comfortable working in a team environment. Ability to travel occasionally, possibly overnight, to any customer area, which could be any Company facility or to a remote site or to a training facility or conference. Strong SQL knowledge is required.

Experience Preferred

Experience in VB.NET, Python, Dataiku, Snowflake and PowerBi

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
