Job Detail:
Junior Data Scientist to provide support to a team of data scientists.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support a team of data scientists and analytics support.
- Ability to Apply statistical methods for exploratory data analysis.
- Apply statistical methods for exploratory data analysis including advanced statistical analysis techniques (e.g. general linear modeling, structural equation modeling, Bayesian methods, time series, forecasting, anomaly detection, exp design).
- Apply machine learning techniques (e.g. decision trees, topic modeling, and neural networks/deep learning, natural language processing.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- BA or MS in Software Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or similar OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years’ experience in data science, advanced analytics, machine learning, statistics.
- Must have experience with Big Data Frameworks such as Spark or Hadoop.
- Must have experience with optimization, simulation, modeling, network science and structured analytics.
- Must have experience with sampling, collecting, computing, analyzing statistical data and scripting and data analysis in R or Python.
- Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Poly (FSP)
- Must hold the appropriate DoD 8570.01 baseline certification applicable to their work role prior to beginning work
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Recent experience with modern Simulation Environments (e.g., VBS4, VRForces, Unity3D, etc.)
- Recent experience with modern Software Modeling
- Recent experience with Java web servers (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
