SUMMARY:

The Finance Automation Analyst (“FAA”) will liaise with Finance and IT business partners to support the development of standardized busines practices, process automation, and financial reporting. The FAA will work with tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and other Business Intelligence (“BI”) related software suites to help modernize, transform, and automate a wide array of finance functions and processes. This candidate should have a passion for building scale and efficiency through an automated approach. The FAA will work closely with all finance functions including Operations Finance, Tax & Treasury, FP&A, and the Controller team to uncover automation opportunities as well as interface with technical resources to evaluation how technology can support the Finance teams.

This role requires heavy collaboration with all finance teams, the business and IT groups, understanding the impact of organizational models and operational needs along with technology selection on the speed, cost, and usability of automation solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand Qorvo’s business, technology and infrastructure landscape, and strategy for new and existing tools as well as technology adoption.
  • Be hands-on with ideation, design, and development of all automation solutions.
  • Work with constituent groups to establish rapport and understand business challenges.
  • Develops user stories, process flows, design documentation, test plans, and other relevant artifacts facilitating end-to-end solution delivery
  • Coordinate with technical teams to identify and triage performance and operation issues that arise with automation implementations.
  • Develop policies, methods, and procedures to support the improvement of business processes and in support of Change Management.
  • Ensure that changes are deployed in a consistent, timely fashion that manages the risk of change, minimizes disruptions to the target environment, and provides a framework to ensure that changes are successfully implemented.
  • Stay up to speed with emerging automation technologies that facilitate discovery of opportunities where process analysis, optimization, and automation add business value.
  • Understand the implications and applications of emerging technologies along with non-technical processes.
  • Conduct training on analytics, automation, and visualization tools for new developers and end-users
  • Be adept at working with minimal assistance and supervision to meet objectives for rapidly adopting new technologies.
  • Be an information “quarterback” who looks at the path of information through multiple systems, how they are connected, and automating processes until accurate information moves in real time and is visible to those who need it.
  • Help develop a core set of success metrics along with a repeatable process to monitor and measure business partner success
  • Automate and expand our reporting capabilities and cadences including weekly/monthly/quarterly reports, and forecasts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and a minimum of two years of related work experience.
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, math, accounting, finance, or a related field; MBA or MS degree preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills with the ability to communicate findings and insights to clients and team members.
  • Experience with data wrangling, robotics process automation (RPA), Business Intelligence software suites, and analytical tools.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience, showcasing attention to details, proactiveness, and thinking outside of the box.
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience with a variety of analytics tools and programming languages such as, but not limited to:
  • Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo Db
  • Languages (e.g., SQL, Java, JavaScript, C#, C++, VBA, HTML, SAS)
  • Reporting Tools (e.g., Business Objects, Reporting Services)
  • Big Data Tools (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Impala, Mahout)
  • Machine Learning/Cognitive (e.g., Python, Mahout, CognitiveScale)
  • Predictive Analytics/Data Mining: (e.g., IBM SPSS, SAS Enterprise Miner, RPL, Python, Matlab)
  • Data transformation and visualization Tools (e.g. Alteryx, Tableau, Power Bi)
