Role Summary
The Data Analyst II or III is responsible for providing key support and maintenance for the software systems that facilitate day to day functions within the company and analyzes information systems problems and develops solutions to those problems. In this role, you will collaborate across the organization, using your experience in data science and business intelligence to analyze existing data to build dashboards, reports, and presentations and enable data-driven decision making across the organization. This role is right for you if you have end-to-end Microsoft SQL Server Stack experience and are looking to join a Company dedicated to protecting lives and properties by working in our 99.999% uptime environment leveraging your expertise in SQL Server BI Platforms to analyze data and create solutions.
Responsibilities.
- Collect and consult on the best ways to warehouse the myriad datasets across the organization using Microsoft SQL Server Stack and other databases
- Translate business requirements to technical requirements
- Champion and lead the development of cross-organizational dashboards
- Educate executives and leadership on model outputs to improve their understanding of data science and apply the results to business decisions
- Lead multiple projects and serve as project manager to identify issues, priorities, and goals
- Navigate ambiguity; identify and tackle strategic opportunities and problems we have not fully defined through data
- Apply a range of data science techniques and tools to solve difficult business problems
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum four (4) year degree in Data Science, Math, or Analytics or related field and/or equivalent military service
- Expert level (SQL) Structured Query Language experience
- Highly proficient with Microsoft SQL Server Stack and SQL Server BI Platform
- Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, and Microsoft PowerBI
- Minimum three (3) years of work experience applying varied data science methodologies
- Minimum three (3) years of work experience with data mining and advanced analytics and/or statistics
- Two (2) plus years of project experience using Python and/or R
- Research, in-depth analysis, and reporting skills
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
- Excellent writing and documentation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Many of our positions require an extra level of screening to obtain Department of Defense security clearance

Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years work experience managing data analytics projects
- Ability to distill large datasets into understandable information
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
- Experience using leading business intelligence tools
COVID-19 Requirements
- Must be fully vaccinated: 2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson, 2 weeks prior or more
- Booster shot is required 2 months after Johnson & Johnson or 5 months after second dose of Pfizer/Moderna
