ABOUT THE TEAM:
The Product and Engineering teams are a group of versatile and passionate team members, working to make the best-in-class software product in the Multifamily real estate industry.
Our product covers a large surface – powering marketing automation, omnichannel communications, AI bots, sales and renewal CRM, agent and self-guided touring, tenant screening, sophisticated business intelligence capabilities, and much more. We use an agile development process, and lean heavily on standard methodologies around PR FAQ’s, PRD, UX research and usability testing, SDLC, etc. all to ensure we are maximizing product fit and execution.
This position will report to the Director of Engineering. This is a full-time role that can be based anywhere in the United States.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Business Analyst plays a vital role in the overall documentation and development of current and future products for RealPage. This position develops product documentation such as business requirement statements, logical data and process designs, user interface mock-ups, and product test plans. This position participates in the entire product development cycle including database and user interface design, initial product testing, product certification, release, and training system deployment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop high-quality requirement documents within a scheduled time frame.
- Gather requirements from both internal and external subject matter experts.
- Document UI and backend user stories by leading discussions with product management, development and UX research teams
- Assist with identifying and solving design flaws and issues
- Participate in team design sessions, contributing to the overall design of new products and product enhancements
- Organize, participate, and conduct product demonstrations as well as other internal presentations as needed
- Manage and track product issues and enhancements using the internal tracking system and departmental procedures
- Create and submit weekly status reports to management.
- Identify, recommend and participate in process improvement initiatives
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal team members
- Perform Scrum Master duties, lead grooming, sprint planning, and PI Planning sessions.
- Optimize stories for sprints in Azure DevOps or similar agile development software
- Maintain requirement integrity during QA/testing cycles by collaborating with QA team
- Participate in product testing and certification activities including training system deployment
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience as a business analyst, systems analyst, QA or related position
- Deriving workflow diagrams, End-to-end user flows based on requirements.
- Experience managing internal metrics and data strategies.
- Self-directed with an ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of sprints and agile development software’s such as Azure DevOps/ TFS, etc.
- Technical skills using Java, C Sharp, SQL server, database skills, Visio, MS Suite, and workflow diagramming software highly preferred
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to effectively communicate with internal and external management
- Work collaboratively with interdepartmental teams to achieve desired results
