Job Location: Pune
What you will do
- Help with key global initiatives like guiding segmentation-based go-to-market planning, increasing deal throughput and other initiatives within the Field Sales team
- Draw on modeling, quantitative, and strategic analysis skills to investigate business problems including issues related to sales productivity to understand key business strategies and initiatives
- Structure and guide analytical projects, working cross functionally with specialized analytics teams across the company to support segmentation-based go-to-market planning, new versus renewal measurement refinement, productivity analyses, and account classification methodology
- Research external sources on topics like sales bench-marking and competitive intelligence and provide recommendations to the leadership team
- Develop sales operations models for operational improvements
- Conduct primary research to align to these projects and uncover external market insights
- Identify and validate value-creation opportunities for competitive go-to-market strategies
- Provide in-house consulting related to strategy and business practices for the Sales and Services teams
- Compile, analyze, and interpret sales bookings data across all channels
- Participate in various structured and ad-hoc planning and analysis projects
- Create Microsoft Excel and Google spreadsheet models to support data-driven decision-making
What you will bring
- MBA or graduate-level computer degree with 7 years of work experience
- 4 years of relevant reporting and analysis experience
- Solid spreadsheet skills with proven experience managing large data sets and building sales strategy and operation models, providing business insights
- Good familiarity with automation using python or any other programming language
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience working for or with sales and business consulting teams at the senior management level
- Previous experience programming, scripting, or writing database SQL code
- Experience using at least one data mining tool like SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) or Tableau
- Ability to communicate complex system and process issues in simple and understandable terms and to use this knowledge to deliver analysis to support strategic decisions
The following are considered a plus:
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.com (SFDC)
- Energetic, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic; diligence and focus on delivering results
- Passionate about choice in technology, open source, and Red Hat
- Solid communication and persuasion skills
- Willingness to consistently work extended hours during periods of high demand like quarter and year end; this may include weekends
- Willingness to follow through on commitments in a customer-friendly and quality first manner
