The Business Intelligence Developer II is part of the Business Intelligence team responsible for Data Warehouse modeling & design, ETL development, and Enterprise reporting, to include analysis, requirements gathering, and report development. The ideal candidate demonstrates a thorough knowledge of BI, data warehouse development, and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the Data Warehouse development lifecycle by gathering and understanding requirements, providing data and ETL design, and developing databases and related reports. You’ll test the use of SQL Server Business Intelligence Development tools – Integration Services, Analysis Services, and Reporting Services
- Design and build new data aggregations for ongoing data analysis and reporting
- Work with the team in migrating legacy ETL Jobs to AWS
- Utilize data analysis techniques and queries to provide ad-hoc reports, analysis, and datasets based on business needs
- Troubleshoot data issues, validate result sets, and recommend/implement process improvements
- Work with other teams to understand business rules and interpret data
- Perform other related duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the business
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant field; a High School Diploma or GED plus 2 additional years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of IT experience with core expertise in data analysis, query design, and reporting is required
- SAP/Business Objects development experience a plus
- Extensive experience using Microsoft’s SSIS and SSRS
- Experience working with data warehousing concepts, terminology and architecture
- Hands-on experience building dashboards, scorecards, and KPI’s a plus
- Experience creating OLAP cubes using SSAS a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Highly proficient in Transact SQL
- Knowledge of AWS Services like S3, lambda, Glue, EMR and Redshift
- Strong understanding of RDBMS tools, highly proficient in MS SQL Server
- Strong analytical, multi-tasking and problem solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
