Roles and Responsibilities
Position Purpose
SSC Recon ADM team needs to hire resources to work on the projects approved by user to ensure the projects are completed on time without any impacts to user.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- The technical business analyst will be part of IHC/CIB IT Core Reconciliations Project team and will be responsible to deliver core reconciliation solution using tools including Intellimatch, Tableau, and Business Objects.
- Requirement gathering – Work with requirement providers and onsite team based in Montreal to gather and analyze requirements, conduct and participate in meetings / workshops to understand requirements.
- Analysis – Conduct functional/ Technical/ impact analysis. Write functional / Technical specifications for offshore development team based in Mumbai and Chennai.
- Testing – Support SIT / UAT and Regression testing. Create test cases as needed for testing. Update the IHC testing tool, HP ALM as needed. Work on defect resolution on defects raised by Users.
- Coordination – This position will require working with different teams based in different locations (which include Montreal, Mumbai & Chennai). Effective coordination between different teams is required.
- Documentation – Raise change request for extracts / data required for reconciliation and controls, Raise Jira’s for development, raise service now for incidents, prepare test cases etc.
- Technical knowledge – This role also requires some technical skills like writing basic SQL, reading stored procedures, coordinate file transfers / CFT connections and technical understanding of Intellimatch as a tool and basic report designing in Business Objects
- Support production activities – Act as level 3 support for production activities. Ability to give clear direction on issue resolution.
- Production Readiness – Work with extract/ data providers, development team, and application production support team to deploy fully automated reconciliation into production.
- Coverage – This position requires work overlap with onsite team based in Montreal.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Contributing Responsibilities
- Able to prepare the status reports for weekly updates with stakeholders
- Communication with Stakeholders, Business Analysts, End-users, and various teams like Higher Management, Development, Systems, Support, Implementation etc.
- Able to prepare the technical and functional documents for the project activities.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- 3 or more years of experience working as a business analyst in a techno functional role.
- Prior experience with projects implementing a reconciliation framework within a large scale financial services organization.
- Strong knowledge of reconciliation applications, such as Intellimatch, Recon+ or Frontier and BI tool such as Tableau, Business Objects.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and technical skills.
- Strong understanding of operational reconciliations within the Financial Services Industry, Banking and Capital Markets sectors.
- Proven delivery management skills including project planning, coordination.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC.
- Prior experience in working in Onsite offshore model is a plus.
