The primary purpose of the Statistical and Data Analyst will be to assemble the datasets, prepare analytic data files, carry out the statistical analysis, report generation, and manuscript preparation.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Assists the PI and the team with the design, planning, and implementation of studies, including designing the statistical approach plans for data analysis.
- Prepares data collection forms, surveys, tables, and figures.
- Develops and implements data and statistical analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Interprets data, and analyze results using cutting-edge statistical techniques.
- Prepares reports for studies containing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Establishes and maintains records and files.
- Prepares and submits a full close-out report upon completion of the study to the PI.

- Master’s Degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or Statistics, plus between 0-2 year of experience in academia, government, or industry in the areas of design and statistical analysis of projects.
- Advanced knowledge of programming for data management and excellent knowledge of cutting-edge statistical analysis skills for implementation in SAS and R are essential.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency and knowledge of database, reporting tools, and graphing software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SigmaPlot.
- Experience in statistical analysis of air pollution and weather-related studies; design and analysis of cohort data.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standing, sitting, walking, talking, or hearing. No special vision requirements.
- WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment. Moderate noise.
