Salesforce Research is pioneering in the field of deep learning, natural language processing and artificial intelligence. At Salesforce, the research team is committed to collaborating with the wider research community; while research scientists have the opportunity to work directly on advancing technologies that customers use as part of the Einstein AI Platform, they may also focus exclusively on high-impact publications. We believe that making substantive progress on hard applications can drive and sharpen the research questions we study, and, in turn, scientific breakthroughs can spawn entirely new applications. With this in mind, the team maintains a portfolio of projects.
The Salesforce AI Residency Program will foster the next generation of AI researchers and applied engineers. This 12-month research training program is intended to kickstart or further one’s experience in AI research. Residents will gain valuable hands-on experience in fundamental and applied AI research, working closely with Salesforce researchers. Our goal is to help propel residents and make them more qualified candidates for top PhD programs. All residents will have the opportunity to transition to full-time AI researchers in the industry.
The ideal candidate has a degree (MS or PhD) or equivalent experience in the STEM field such as CS, Math, Statistics, Economics, Bioinformatics, and related fields. We also highly encourage candidates with non-traditional backgrounds and experiences to apply to our program. Candidates will be highly motivated individuals eager to learn and have a strong interest and passion for machine learning research.
Responsibilities:

AI Residents to participate in Salesforce Research projects and areas of interest while earning their doctorate/graduate degree

Expected to spend at least 50% of time at Salesforce research facility to work on research projects

Develop innovative techniques and solutions for real world, large scale problems

Publish high quality research papers at top-tier conference or journal venues
Requirements:

Obtained Master or PhD degrees in STEM field such as CS, Math, Statistics, Economics, Bioinformatics, and related fields

Graduated from top local or global universities with excellent academic records

Passion in the research areas of Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Big Data, Data Mining and Business analytics, etc.
