Overview

SUMMER 2023

Shure offers a challenging, fun and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate students that have completed at least 2 years of college, as well as graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.

We are looking for a data passionate individual to join our growing Data and Analytics practice. The Data Engineering Intern will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The ideal candidate enjoys solving business problems and delivering data insights. The intern will also support our database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. Comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.

This Internship can be 100% Remote, Onsite or Hybrid.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data cataloging, data acquisition, data modeling and data quality
  • Learn / leverage cloud-based data management capabilities
  • Assist with research on technology options and processes related to data management and governance
  • Assist with analytics to uncover potential opportunities
  • Building of data visualization in support of business projects
  • Help with data pipeline projects, as needed

Qualifications

  • In-process bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, data science / analytics related degree
  • Experience with programing languages
  • Knowledge of AWS, Informatica, Dell Boomi and/or Tableau a plus
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Self-motivated, team player, detail oriented
  • Able to meet required deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Keen willingness to learn new concepts and skills
