Position Summary
The Data Analyst IV position involves the process of using programming languages, databases, machine learning and other tools to produce descriptive and predictive analytics. The role also encompasses processing data as needed from relational data, reports, documents and other processes. The analyst will follow industry best practices in using source control and ensure data integrity throughout the process.
The analyst will need the ability to rapidly understand various data sources and their contextual meaning as needed to support analysis and determine which data is needed for various request.
The analyst will also need to understand the context of the environment and evaluate different strategies for transferring large amounts of data needed, as well as which data to preserve and how to preserve it for future needs using existing data storage solutions.
This position would also be responsible for analyzing features of updates or new releases to determine integration strategies and participate in IT projects as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performing predictive analysis using various machine learning tools and techniques as needed.
- Extracting data from various systems and sources into usable data
- Serve as a primary resource in determining the approach to be utilized in implementing new analysis and technology
- Should possess a comprehensive understanding of the implementation methodologies for the technology being utilized in development
- Estimate project complexity and timeframes
- Identify and escalate issues as they are identified
- Independently work with multiple different departments as a technical and analytical expert.
- Follow sound and proven development practices
- Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

- Ability to ingest data from various formats and perform complex analysis using different tools appropriate for the task
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations.
- Ability to write complex reports, simple-to-business correspondence, and procedures.
- Ability to effectively speak, respond to questions, and present information to the following: one-on-one /small groups, customers, employees, clients, managers, top management, board of directors, and the general public.
Education and/or Experience
- BS/BA Degree (four year) from an accredited university/college OR
- Four to six years of experience as a developer or similar job role
Computer Skills
- MS Office programs
- Microsoft .NET Technologies
- Microsoft Visual Studio Development
- Microsoft SQL Server Database
- Python is a plus
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Certified applications developer a plus
Other Qualifications (including physical requirements)
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem solving, and planning skills with the ability to set priorities.
- Must possess excellent telephone and customer service skills.
- General banking and legal knowledge preferred.
- Proven track record of designing scalable, distributed software applications.
