Job Location: Wilmington, NC
Core Responsibilities:
- Manages the data pipelines and may have oversight of predictive analytics activities of the business.
- Responsible for delivering daily, weekly, and monthly reports accurately and on time.
- Partner with teams in various functional areas of the business and will implement process improvements to streamline the efficiency and accuracy of the reporting process.
- Be involved in ad hoc analysis of large datasets to quickly provide insight into the business.
- Be involved in the design and statistical analysis of designed experiments.
- Function as an analytics and reporting expert for assigned functions by developing standard reports and may have oversight of designing, running and maintaining predictive models.
- Develop reports, metrics, models, scorecards, and dashboards by gathering data and transforming it into stories and insights that drive business recommendations and decision-making.
- Advices and assists management in organizing and carrying out strategic planning activities by providing analysis.
- Prepares and presents reports which summarize and forecast operationsโ business activity and financial position.
- Integrates work with other finance directors to ensure that analyses are accurate, complete, and timely.
- Facilitates open lines of communication between and among accounting and management personnel within and outside the operating groups.
- Reports any improprieties/problems to management and corrects problems.
- Assists with long-range strategic planning.
- Performs other duties as defined by manager.

Qualifications:

- Bachelorโs Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Accounting/Finance, Computer Science/Data Analytics or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience, required.
- Minimum of 2+ years experience in a position of leadership to include team development and management, required.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proficient in generating/analyzing data within relational databases such SQL.
- Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python or R). Programming experience in Java/C++ is a plus.
- Proficient in analyzing and interpreting designed experiments.
- Experience working in UNIX/Linux and distributed cloud computing environments.
- Expertise in traditional linear, machine learning and deep learning models.
- Working experience with building and deploying predictive models across a range of machine learning models, preferred.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Computer skills including experience with business intelligence software and Microsoft software products.
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and guidance to the Data Analytics team.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
