We are searching for a Senior Population Health Analyst to position reports to the Manager of Pop Health Performance. Work across teams to develop and maintain data collection, reporting tools, to support data analysis of pop health management. Develop reports, dashboards, scorecards, models, machine learning algorithms and other analytics. Utilize data from multiple sources (internal and external), Epic clinical data, third party applications, claims files and payer reports associated with value-based contracts. Provide recommendations on workflows to increase data accuracy and integrity. Analyze, interpret and present/make recommendations to improve results/outcomes associated with clinical workflows, utilization, total cost of care, clinical pharmacy and care coordination services. Identify trends/patterns within complex data sets; visualize and deploy the data to inform stakeholders. Apply advanced statistical analyses utilizing R or like statistical programs. Develop innovative ideas to impact the delivery model, resulting in a positive impact to clinical and financial outcomes. Be a subject matter expert to support the population health needs regarding claims data, value-based contracts, quality data and other associated data. Act as a mentor to Southcoast staff to help in their development in population health analytics. Expected to provide functional or technical supervision of other employees in the same or related job classifications where scope of supervisory responsibility is limited to direction, guidance, explanation, etc

- Shift: Day shift; 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Location: St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in a related field or the equivalent knowledge and experience are required.
- Master’s Degree in Business, Health Administration, Finance or other applicable field preferred.
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in performing health care data analysis, SQL and R experience preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, statistical regression analytics, complex algorithm design, machine learning, and Tableau visualization tools.
- Knowledge of management, business planning, finance, accounting and healthcare.
- Knowledge of health insurance claims structure and analytics, risk adjustment methodologies, efficiency of care, utilization metrics, and quality metric definitions such as HEDIS.
- Knowledge of EMR functions, workflows, and data storage, Epic preferred.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus and provide required vaccination documentation unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment.
