Job Summary: The Sales Business Analyst is primarily responsible for using data and analytics to make recommendations in order to grow wallet share with the Stratus customer base and improve overall performance and win rates. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, anticipating how decisions are made in our prospects’ organizations, exploring and uncovering the business needs of our prospects and understanding how our range of product offerings can help our prospects grow and ultimately solve their business challenges.

Essential Responsibilities:
- · Conduct comprehensive prospect, market and competitive research and analysis which informs the entire sales process in order to drive results.
- · Manage the analysis and distribution of monthly, quarterly and annual sales and new business reporting as requested by Leadership.
- · Maintain exceptional written and verbal communication.
- · Collaborate with business users to understand the business needs.
- · Work cross functionally with other departments including Marketing and Operations; assist all departments to access and use data in the most efficient way possible.
- · Create scorecards to provide insights to the business and make recommendations.
- · Provide guidance to make data driven decisions to support efforts in improving customer centricity and efficiency.
- · Utilize Excel to conduct detailed analysis of various options for project funding.
- · Support forecasting and product cost exercises for Strategic Pricing.
- · Drive optimization initiatives as directed by the SVP and hold teams accountable to the quarterly and annual savings or growth estimates, report monthly and quarterly results to the full Executive Management Team.
- · Identify potential areas of improvement where process improvement, software or technology can improve efficiency or add functionality.
- · Serve as an additional level of support request escalation for customer issues.
- · Create customer dashboards and standardized customer reporting templates.

Skills
- · Must be a good communicator with internal support groups, remote sales staff and with a diverse group of clients
- · Key understandings of multiple types of financing and their impact on businesses
- · Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- · Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- · Advanced analytical and math skills
- · Self-motivated and driven to exceed expectations
- · Comfortable presenting information in a group setting to various levels of leadership
- · Strong attention to detail, communication, organizational, and time management skills
- · Analytic acumen will be required to perform analysis and make sound recommendations; data modeling experience highly sought after. Analyst should be able to provide actionable insights to business units and work effectively with multiple levels within the organization, tailoring messaging as appropriate based on the receiving audience.
- · Power BI skills preferred
Education, experience, certifications
- · Bachelor’s degree in applicable field from accredited university preferred
- · Research/Analyst experience preferred; 4 years
- · Experience with Salesforce strongly preferred
