Job Location: Minneapolis, MN
The Data Reporting Analyst IV sits within the Center for Information, Analytics and Insights (CIAI) business unit at SullivanCotter. In this role, you will lead and actively participate in survey data collection, data validation, benchmark and report creation, and analysis of various health care compensation surveys. Working with CIAI leadership, you will be responsible for leading initiatives focused on the standardization of technical processes and methodology enhancements. This role is expected to lead complex data projects spanning various health care compensation surveys and mentor other data analysts.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct and train other analysts in in-depth data cleaning for compensation and custom surveys utilizing in-house and statistical software.
- Lead the production of compensation and survey reports and analyses in tandem with survey managers.
- Provide support to internal and external clients and survey participants regarding survey processes and analysis via telephone and email.
- Provide in-depth quality assurance to compensation reports per formatting, analysis and content guidelines.
- Create complex and audit new analyses and charts built in Alteryx and Tableau.
- Audit existing Alteryx workflows and Tableau dashboards created by other analysts.
- Lead the identification and improvement of existing workflows, automation and streamlining opportunities, and build solutions.
- Delve into data to identify discrepancies, patterns and insights. Concisely present findings and implement solutions.
- Assist with and oversee ad hoc survey reports, analyses and projects.
- Collaborate with senior members of the team and management in the creation and standardization of training materials for new and existing processes.
- Create new tool and process documentation utilizing CIAI standards.
- Lead the reporting of flagship survey cuts.
- Identify and define opportunities for efficiencies in day-to-day survey operations by leveraging software and programming solutions.
- Identify and define both process and data improvements and lead these efforts. Ensure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing quality data audits and analyses.
- Assist management with administrative duties (e.g., interviews, job descriptions, etc.).
- Lead cross-functional efforts for standardization and optimization.
- Provide input and direction related to business requirements for survey tools and processes.
- Mentor more junior analysts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- BA or BS in a related field or equivalent experience required. An emphasis in finance, economics, statistical research, research methodology or mathematics is preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of related experience in statistical analysis, survey, or data analytics.
- Proficient technical knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Intermediate Programming experience, including Alteryx, required.
- Programming experience including R, SQL, and/or Python strongly preferred.
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI required.
- Knowledge of the health care industry is strongly preferred.
- Azure DevOps experience a plus.
- Agile Project Management Methodology experience a plus.
- Extensive experience interfacing with internal/external counterparts.
- Advanced experience creating standard operating procedures and other business documentation.
- Advanced experience leading analytic projects.
