Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for analytics, insights, and reporting needs for assigned Deployment Solutions client(s). The Analyst, Business Insights acts as point person to create analyses that enhance business insight generation to drive team performance and has a passion for communicating analysis findings. This includes analyzing data and designing reports + analyses for Syneos teams to enhance productivity and provide information to measure the impact of team activity, and other promotional + educational interactions. This role will utilize varying secondary data sources such as Rx and medical claims data, CRM data, samples data, practitioner engagement data and potentially other data sets provided through 3rd parties (e.g. digital messaging). The Analyst, Business Insights supports Syneos field team management as well as client management in delivery of key insights for increased brand performance and optimized customer activity.

This will be a hybrid role and we anticipate about 2 days/week in the office. We will consider graduates with a related degree and some pharma related experience.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consult with Syneos Deployment Solutions team leadership as well as Sales, Brand, and Operational client contacts to understand product performance expectations and translate to analyses and tracking metrics primarily delivered in reports + dashboards.
  • Work independently to suggest new analyses and reports on activities, trends, and projections regarding performance, efficiencies, and possible improvements.
  • Communicate insights on targeting, alignment and call plan development, working with clients, field team leadership and external strategic partners.
  • Clearly and succinctly communicate analytical findings and insights to clients and internal team members through visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI).
  • Participate in the design of automated reporting initiatives.
  • Work independently to create ad-hoc analyses and reports at the request of clients and Syneos field team management.


Job Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative field (e.g., data science, statistics).
  • 1-3 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in commercial operations or analytics role.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, e.g. SQL, Python, R.
  • Experience across business intelligence tools such as PowerBI and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Knowledgeable in Veeva and Salesforce.com CRM systems
  • Strong analytical, mathematical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to interact with stakeholders in a variety of functional areas including sales, marketing, sales systems and IT.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, work under deadlines, manage customer expectations and execute timely deliverables.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of pharma sales and marketing function with ability to anticipate needs, make recommendations and respond to ad hoc requests quickly and appropriately.
