Job Description:
The role will be responsible for performing ongoing and ad-hoc analysis related
to digital product analytics, including customer activity analysis, creating
and consolidating data sets for analysis, conducting financial impact analysis
related to budget performance, and data visualization. Additionally, this role
will work collaboratively across the strategic analytics team while partnering
with the product/experience owners, members of the FP&A team, as well as
the data engineering and reporting groups.
Our team is seeking a well-rounded analyst with excellent organizational,
critical thinking, and time-management skills. The ideal candidate will have
expertise in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, primarily leveraging
SQL and Excel. The individual must also be comfortable with creating and
working with Microsoft Powerpoint presentations. Experience with a statistical
programming language (Python/R) and/or visualization software (Tableau)
preferred but not required. Experience with Adobe Analytics a plus.
Analyst Tasks:
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand business
questions and formulate technical, data-driven approaches to answering
questions.
- Write SQL queries, pull data, and assemble for presentation and analytical
insights with minimal oversight.
- Help define appropriate KPIโs and impact measures for digital initiatives.
- Work to understand digital customer experience across the Comcast portfolio
of products (web, mobile apps, etc) to effectively communicate the โso whatโ to
the team.
- Effectively manage competing priorities through planned and ad-hoc requests
- Comfortable presenting analysis and findings in a public speaking setting
- Promote and evangelize a culture of excellence, data driven discussions,
healthy skepticism, intellectual curiosity, knowledge sharing, and teamwork,
while maintaining an environment that is upbeat and fun
Desired Education and Experience:
- Minimum: BA/BS degree in marketing, economics, statistics, psychology,
engineering, computer science, mathematics, or finance.
- 1-3 years experience working in a data analyst role in a digital product team
or related organization.
Responsibilities
- SQL code development to pull insights from various databases
- Deliver high quality, timely, and actionable insights that define
opportunities and risks and translate into clear recommendations with
associated implications for the business
- Educate stakeholders to empower them with accessible, actionable data and
insights
- Present detailed quantitative analysis and qualitative insights to
leadership in a manner that is easily interpreted and aids strategic and
tactical decision making
- Work with partners in Business Intelligence to understand where data points
live within databases and the best way to extract that information
- Help create data visualizations in Tableau
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
