Job Detail:
Position Purpose
The Data Architect will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex data structures and applications. This role will leverage extensive knowledge and experience of marketing processes to align the business objectives with data architectural design. This position will be held accountable for defining and managing data architecture strategy, standards, guidelines, and processes that meet business strategic and tactical goals while ensuring data quality. The role will include collaborating effectively with IT, vendor partners, and business users to execute on project deliverables, maintain and improve existing data job logic, and activate audience data across Home Depot’s partner platforms and digital marketing channels.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- 40%- Lead the analysis of the current data structures, detect critical deficiencies, and recommend data architectural design solutions based on business initiatives.
- 20%- Build API solutions that integrate various platform metadata with internal data structures.
- 20%- Maintain and improve data jobs and standards including error handling, alerts and notifications, and data quality
- 20%- Coordinate with various teams, including internal and external partners involved in channel execution, data science and marketing strategies
Nature and Scope Reports to Sr. Manager, Marketing Operations.
Environmental Job Requirements 1. Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable
Standard Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

6 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience developing reference architecture, principals, and standards
- Ability to translate digital marketing problems into architectural design recommendations and decisions
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with IT and business users and work with diverse project teams
- Strong Digital Marketing and Data Analysis Skills
- Working knowledge of Excel and file processing
Strong background in SQL and Relational Databases
Strong background in coding and development, especially Python
Ability to develop, deliver, and manage complex API integrations between various platforms- Experience with multiple digital marketing platforms including DMP/DSPs, email service providers, personalization and content management tools, and channel activation platforms
- Ability and willingness to operate in a highly cross-functional environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others
