Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.
Salary Range

$69,600.00 – $114,800.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Under general supervision this position, analyzes data to drive business results; is responsible for verifying validity of data, identifying trends, and communicating findings to management to facilitate business decisions and drive results. Uses data visualization and storytelling skills to effectively communicate insights. Serves as subject matter expert to Claim Centers on data analysis and evolving technologies. In partnership with claim leadership, is responsible for ensuring accurate financial controls and compliance. Performs, analyzes and reviews financial controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Participates in validations or audits. Reviews processes and makes recommendations for improved process health, optimizing operational workflow Builds strong relationships with local leadership and effectively works on cross functional teams on various business initiatives.

What Will You Do?
  • DATA ANALYSIS AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT: Responsible for obtaining, creating and analyzing more complex data to provide business partners with management information to facilitate business decisions. Synthesizes and presents exhibits, results, observations, recommendations to cross functional peers and management. Uses analytics to explain business results and leverages data visualization and storytelling skills to effectively communicate insights and help influence decision/outcomes. Provides facts and analysis to assist the leadership team with solving business operational issues. Identifies and communicates business trends and audit findings to broad audience including leadership. Completes budget analysis to identify trends in allocated and unallocated expenses.
  • FINANCIAL CONTROLS AND ASSESSMENT: Ensures compliance with company financial standards in completing financial controls and assessments.. Performs, analyzes and validates the effectiveness of financial controls Provides input on employee performance against financial standards to employees, managers, and management. Assesses the reasonableness of data as well as identifies discrepancies, including reconciliations. Participates in, presents and explains reviews and trending analyses (that they have completed) during various types of audits and reviews with business and external auditors. Manipulates, interprets and presents data for use in Statutory Reporting. Researches moderately complex statutory requests from Claim Center leadership, creating financial/operational reporting requirements and communicating findings to management. Partners with Claim Center, Finance and Product leadership to develop action plans/strategies to resolve issues and improve performance based on analyses completed.
  • CLAIM OPERATIONAL SERVICE AND PARTNERSHIPS: Serves as subject matter expert to Claim Centers on data analysis and evolving technologies. May lead short-term and long-term projects related to data analytics and using and implementing technologies. Collaborates with Finance, Claim functions, Operations, Product Partners, EMT and recommends and implements improvements to FSA policies, procedures, and workflows. Responsible for identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies.
  • TEAM ENGAGEMENT: May serve as a member of the Enterprise Response Team or Immediate Response Team programs and may hold applicable state adjuster licenses. Serves as a resource on new processes for Operations Specialists.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Knowledge of property casualty insurance.
  • Understanding of insurance industry and market dynamics.
  • Experience gathering, interpreting and utilizing data to identify trends and develop recommendations.
  • Experience influencing others and making formal presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify trends from analyzed data.
  • Experience utilizing computer technology such as Microsoft Office, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.

What is a Must Have?
  • 3 years of business-related experience
  • 1 year performing data analysis.
