Thornton Tomasetti is seeking a Power BI fluent analyst to support global FP&A in our mid-sized professional services environment. An ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have demonstrated experience managing complex business data into insightful outputs. They will be prepared to maintain established offline analyses and suggest/implement improvements as needed.
Responsibilities Include
- Enable and drive conversion of established analyses to Power BI; maintain the new venues moving forward.
- Maintain established analyses in their traditional forms (often based in Excel).
- Migrate FP&A reports and solutions to various facets of new enterprise systems, where appropriate (note: company is about to transition to new enterprise systems).
- Foster improvement in FP&A processes through standardization/automation.
The Successful Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications
- Established affluence in Power BI, including end user and developer perspectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, with MBA or advanced credentials a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office solutions, particularly Excel and Power Query specifically including:
- pivot tables, macros, and advanced functionality/querying.
- external data sourcing, both within MS Office and from other sources.
- Exceptional problem solving, project management, relationship building and oral/written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others both remotely and in person, in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Experience directly supporting overseas partners a plus.
