Job Description

At Toll Technology Centre (TTC), we are hiring Business Analyst . The Business Analyst will engage with diverse stakeholders to ensure that the client’s organisational objectives are understood trough the analysis and synthesis of information. The Business Analyst will execute strategic plans, business model analysis, process design and systems analysis and ensures that the business is supported.

As a Business Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Execute business analysis, provide input and develop the business case for a project by identifying the benefit associated with the project and determine the operational dependencies and assumptions. Support the creation and development of plans for growth and innovation to conduct business analysis. Understand and define business needs and translating them into business processes and system needs (process mapping, requirement gathering, scoping).
  • Maximise profitability by linking management goals and standards with the practical means of achievement in a high impact operation or area of the business which drives significant improvement in profitability. Identify benefits associated with particular pieces of work, operational dependencies, and establish appropriate proposals to clearly articulate the requirements. Follow a structured and consistent process for the identification and development of business requirements and solutions according the project initiatives and the agreed budget and timeframes.
  • Has a customer first mindset and the operation is set up to put the customer first especially when linking with other operations or businesses. Evaluate requirements for business programs and projects; includes business process re-engineering, cost-benefit analysis and recommended solutions.
  • Ensures that the business requirements drive cost benefit analysis, recommended solutions and the agreed cost parameters to ensure they are accurate and are aligned with the business strategy / outcomes. Collaborate with SME’s, stakeholders and wider team to deliver on key initiatives. Collaborate and work with cross functional teams to take the project from feasibility through to detailed design, implementation, testing and go live.
  • Mapping of business processes, supporting training delivery and that business users get ready for the implementation of IT solutions.
  • Productive and successful engagement with business stakeholders and meeting their requirements and expectations. Business requirements are clearly defined and incorporated in system and component designs. All projects have a suitable business case and appropriately well-defined business requirements with limited re-work. Successful realisation of business requirements in alignment with benefits, outcomes, portfolio and project planning. Feedback is used to measure effectiveness of stakeholder management and communication. Delivery of all business analysis activities within budget and milestones. Adherence to all policies, procedures and templates with regards to sign off, document management, version control and maintenance of the master library.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s in IT, computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline, with strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint presentation and Word skills. PMP / PMI / PRINCE2 /PMBOK or equivalent certification desirable. IIBA Certification CBAP or comparable experience desirable
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully contributing to the delivery of complex, large scale IT projects (5+ years’ experience). Experience working with 3rd party IT providers and/or system integrators in country, regional and possibly globally. Experience in translating business requirements in to a ‘fit for purpose’ solution.

  • Ensuring accurate understanding of business case development and benefits realisation is consistently done by the team. Demonstrated experience in conducting business process re-engineering and business requirements analysis.

  • Certification and knowledge of PRINCE2 / PMBoK project management methodology or equivalent. Experience with techniques such as use case analysis, data/process flow diagramming, process mapping and detailed business and functional requirements documentation. Experience in CW1 & Freight Forwarding experience is required.
