The TFS Enterprise Data Management Team is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Master Data Management (MDM) Technology Lead.

The Master Data Management (MDM) Technology Lead is a seasoned technical expert recognized within Data and Analytics (DnA) as a key technical resource. This individual works on projects and maintains systems that are highly visible and have broad implications for the business and the IS architecture.

With knowledge of the capabilities and constraints of Data Mastering, Data Quality and Logical Rules applications and how they integrate within the enterprise, coupled with a good understanding of call center, telephony, interactive, and party mastering business processes, this individual provides leadership, technical guidance, and input to the application and architecture teams. The technical lead also excels at diagnosis and versatile problem-solving.


What you’ll be doing

Research, Data Collection, Quality Assurance, Analysis, and Problem Solving:

  • Assess customer requirements; work with Enterprise Data Management and Architecture Team to analyze the architecture of business events and data that support architecture; evaluate possible solutions; and present recommendations to IT management.
  • Contribute to the development of annual Master Data Management roadmaps
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to address complex technical issues and liaison with vendors to diagnose and resolve potential product defects.
  • Collaborate with and provide information to vendors during expert reviews. Review and provide input to DR plans, roadmaps, release documentation, and conduct development reviews to ensure technical and product best practices are being followed and documentation is complete.

Technology Leadership:

  • Provide direction to junior staff and integrate activities with other technology areas to ensure successful implementation and support of Master Data Solution efforts.
  • Take a leadership role in promoting Master Data Management, Data Quality, and Logical Rules Engine capabilities within the organization and align solutions to meet strategic objectives.
  • Provides technical vision and direction for all DnA and its Partners.
  • Demonstrate a good level of knowledge of core applications architecture.
  • Demonstrate mastery of all phases of the systems development lifecycle for applications for which a Technical Lead is responsible (e.g., transaction-centered designs, real-time/interactive systems, and distributed processing).
  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of integration concepts in a high-volume batch and real-time environment.
  • Engage with the TFS infrastructure team to provide recommendations to enable reliable and scalable operations.

Planning:

  • Has a role in the strategic planning and design of core business systems.
  • Stay abreast of new and emerging technology and its impact on core business systems.
  • Identify best practices (used in other organizations or in Toyota) and implement them to solve problems and address challenges more effectively.


What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or closely related discipline.
  • Extensive relevant technical and data management experience.
  • Solid demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Proven experience with a majority of the following: Informatica MDM, Informatica Data Quality, BES, SIF APIs, Address Doctor, Provisioning Tool, Data Model, JBOSS, Performance Tuning, Infrastructure Design, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle, AWS Cloud, AWS S3, Jenkins, GitHub, Veracode, and Dynatrace.
  • Strong understanding of integration concepts such as Service Oriented Architecture, REST, SOAP, and integrating MDM applications with producers and consumer systems in real, near real-time, and batch.
  • Experience implementing Informatica MDM 10.x.
  • Detailed Informatica MDM Application Architecture knowledge.
  • Experience with testing and performance tuning Informatica MDM, BES, SIF APIs.
  • Extensive experience in business application requirements, design, development, implementation, and maintenance.


Added bonus if you have

  • Understanding of Informatica C360 Data model and Data Architecture.
  • Expertise in integrating Informatica MDM with Salesforce, web/mobile, Data Lake, and external data enrichment vendors.
  • Mulesoft experience.
  • TOGAF experience.
