Toyota’s Marketing Technology and Analytics Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Data Platform Engineer, Marketing Technology and Analytics.

Who we’re looking for:

The primary responsibility of this role is to build and operate a modern Marketing Technology and Analytics Platform in GCP and AWS which provides the capabilities and services for business users, data & application engineers, data scientists, and agencies to operate in the Cloud, leveraging DevOps pipelines and re-usable frameworks.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Platforms, the person in this role will support the Marketing Technology and Analytics department’s objective to establish intuitive cloud platforms which can run products for internal IT, Business Analytics, and Marketing teams.

What you’ll be doing:

• 
  Development – This role is 100% hands-on. You will build systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information. While using programming languages and tools to ingest, cleanse, and transform data. You will also develop, construct, test, and maintain data architectures using DevOps practices. Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.

• Operations – Responsible for business continuity for both the applications in the Marketing Technology and Analytics Platform’s portfolio and the platform itself. This includes development, enhancement, operations, security, maintenance, and support.

• 
  Translation – Extend the pipelines already built at TMNA to GCP and AWS services (example: serverless pipelines for Lambda/Cloud Functions).

• 
  Optimization – Optimize and tweak environments for better performance, lower costs, and faster time to market.

• 
  Vendor Relations – Establish relationships with vendors and partner with their SMEs to identify and innovate/introduce new technologies to the platform stack.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Extensive experience with Cloud Services in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) , specifically with Security, Networking, Compute, Storage, Serverless services.

• Expertise in setting up and managing DevOps stacks with leveraging tools like Jenkins, Github, Artifactory and XL Release.

• Experience in building pipelines using scripting languages like Python, Spark, etc.

• Experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) deployment capabilities using Terraform (or similar tool).

• GCP cloud services (IAM, GCS, Compute Engines, VPC, Data Proc, Dataflow, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Big Query.) Experience with GCP is required as this role is 80% GCP.

• AWS cloud services (IAM, S3, Glue/EMR, EC2/VPC, ECS, Lambda, Redshift). AWS cloud services are used less than GCP. AWS is used 20% of the time.

• Experience in performing data analytics using tools like Databricks, Big Query, Athena, Redshift.

• Experience in Data Engineering with any Big Data stack and optimization.

Added bonus if you have:

• Martech/Adtech/GMP experience is a huge plus.

• Experience in defining infosec policies, controls, and guardrails in GCP is a plus.

• Experience in developing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) deployment capabilities using Terraform (or similar tool).

• Experience in Security integrations, Webservices – IDP integrations, SAML, OAuth, Restful/ SOAP.

• Experience in Unix, Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with Orchestration technologies like Airflow, Talend, Cloud Scheduler.
