What you will do
This role will bring in hands-on Cloud and Kubernetes experience to deploy containerized databases on Cloud. US Bank Distributed Database – NoSQL Team is moving on-prem workload to Azure Cloud. A successful candidate is one, who will help Database Engineering/Administrator Team to define CI/CD pipeline and introduce other cutting-edge technologies for deployment of Databases on Azure.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- At least 5 years of experience within a total information technology (IT) environment
- At least 5 years of experience with the design, development, and support of technology infrastructure
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Hands-on experience and deep understanding of Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience in deploying containerized Databases in Kubernetes Cluster preferably AKS
- Hands-on experience of Azure Services.
- Hands-on experience of deploying CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience of IaC technologies.
- Hands-on experience with any of the coding language, preferably python.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform
- Over-all understanding of Cloud Concepts.
- Experience and understanding of any Database.
- Eager to learn Database Administration and be part of NoSQL Database team to support admin work.
- Willing to be part of oncall support.
- Willing to share knowledge/cross train Team.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Aptitude for learning new things.
- Ability to document and articulate work.
- Effective in networking and building relationships across business lines, technology teams, and finance.
- Proven Team player
