Position Overview

The Data and Quality Improvement (DQI) Team supports the operations of the DTD network of partner agencies by identifying areas of success and opportunities for growth within the network. The DTD DQI team also drives the adoption of technology solutions through the development of novel tools, the implementation of existing tools, and end-user training. The DTD DQI Analyst supports the business functions of the DQI Team by administering, modifying, and reporting out of the DTD database platform. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, organized, quick learner with a data management skillset.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage and update the DTD CRM platform; create and monitor user accounts in the CRM platform and conduct both new user and annual training.
  • Support platform users and provide point-of-contact support for DTD platform vendors.
  • Generate CRM user guides for external and internal partners.
  • Configure forms, workflows, and reports to support DTD processes.
  • Provide feedback regarding the data platform to any proposed program or policy changes.
  • Compile data on data entry activities, prepare and distribute reports, and analyze results.
  • Ensure data integrity, and create exception reports to identify fields of incorrect data and ensure data integrity.
  • Advise internal and external partners on system integration projects.
  • Participate in agency meetings and training related to quality assurance and accountability.
  • Participate in agency meetings regarding platform integration with external user’s data systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Information Systems, Education or a related area.
  • Three years of work experience in the human services sector and/or one of the following areas: data analysis, database administration, and/or evaluation and research.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the field and a passion for serving under-served and under-resourced individuals, families, and/or communities; particularly people living in poverty.
  • Demonstrated ability to derive insights from qualitative and quantitative data. Strong knowledge of data manipulation techniques (identify/remove duplicate records, re-format data types, impute missing values, group and summarize, etc.). Strong knowledge of data visualization as a tool for communicating insights about data.
  • Competency with one or more database systems
  • Competency with one or more programming languages associated with data analysis preferred (R, SQL, Python [pandas], SPSS, SAS, MATLAB, etc.) Ability to present software systems training and demonstrations clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to interact directly with clients cordially and respectfully.
  • Ability to grasp complex business logic and identify potential inconsistencies.
  • Strong understanding of business products, how they work, and how they store and interact with data (understanding data flow from creation to presentation).
  • Expert communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Results-oriented.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the employee to be able to lift 25 pounds. The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. The employee is frequently required to use finger and hand motion, and to reach using arms and hands. The position may also require significant walking and the capability to climb stairs. The employee will need to have the ability to talk to and hear customers during events. Specific visual abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. There may be additional physical requirements associated with off-site corporate or volunteer events,

This position must be willing to work flexible hours outside of normal business hours with some local travel to meet with partners, Must have a valid Driver’s License, car insurance, and reliable transportation. Must have a personal cell phone to communicate outside of the office.
