UMR Business Analytics Team is a product re-engineering team which helps with improving efficiencies & increasing quality by designing various solutions. This team also helps in process analysis to design new applications with respect to workflow changes.

Principle Duties and Primary Responsibilities: The following duties cover what are generally believed to be principal and essential functions of the job. Specific circumstances may allow or require some people assigned to the job to perform a somewhat different combination of duties.

  • Act as initial technical resource for team to resolve problems and issues
  • Deploy, maintain, and manage Web applications
  • Infrastructure Support
  • Maintain centralized documentation of IT infrastructure information, including hardware/software licensing, environment diagrams, SOPs, and work instructions
  • Maintain supported systems throughout their lifecycle
  • Follow all escalation procedures according to the service level agreement
  • Provide an accurate record of work in request/incident management tracking tools
  • Coordinate and monitor troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems; document system events to ensure continuous functioning. Recommend course of action and implements as approved
  • Utilized Change Control process when scheduling maintenance for UMR environments
  • Maintain system inventory through centralized management database and tools
  • Perform/Assist in root cause analysis in post system-failure situations
  • Perform general system configuration, backups, maintenance, and optimization of network infrastructure and new servers
  • Respond to and resolve support requests
  • Execute technology assessments, evaluations and recommendations of products and services to achieve and maintain UMR’s information security compliance requirements. and ensure proper implementation of products to adhere to required security standards
  • Assess risks when making changes to IT Environments
  • After hours on-call availability to support server upgrade and solution deployments
  • Perform installations, moves, adds, and changes for various technologies, as needed
  • Coordinate problem resolution with Service Desk and Application Analysts. Work with other Optum technical staff as needed on related projects
  • Follow system-wide server and integration standards, policies, and procedures
  • Understands and adheres to all security policies and procedures relating to systems, data, physical data center security and safety
  • Vulnerability management

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Technology Support or Systems Administrator
  • 3+ years of experience with end-to-end system dependencies as well as an understanding of IT operations and their related dependencies for executing out contracts successfully

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, or MIS
  • Certifications on related Microsoft, Azure dev ops or other technologies
  • ITIL or other ITSM framework certification
  • Web application development experience
  • Good knowledge of ITSM, Service Now Incident management, Change ticket management, ITSM Reporting, Excel & Pivots, Problem ticket management

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
