Role: Advanced Business/Systems Data Analyst
- participate in Supply Chain Analytics Data Platform initiatives such as V endor (3 rd party) facing dashboards (POWER BI) , Demand management ( Forecasting and replenishment ) reporting needs, SUPPLY CHAIN Daily operations and reporting needs involving All the supply chain line of business applications such as POS, WMS, TMS.
- facilitate and extract requirements from business/ technical units for various reporting and dashboarding needs, this part of the process is called Tech Discovery (End to end analysis of key systems, data, business rules involved in the process of creation of the BI dashboard/ report.)
- Perform Data analysis as part of the Tech discovery process to match the business user/ product owners reporting requirements to Data at source and also data available on Azure storage (BLOBS), As part of this use Azure services such as, Azure Databricks, Azure GEN 2 Storage, Azure data factory, SSMS (SQL Server) and any SQL database if needed.
- Assist Project Manager in leading projects and providing the team members with analysis result of technical discovery information needed for building the product backlogs and prioritizing the development effort (This is minimal work, as we already get the info from tech discovery)
- Drive meetings and ensure projects are completed on time by assisting the Dev and QA teams with regards to clarity on the requirements, with the essence of systems analysis to understand the end-to-end building blocks of getting the data from source system through the azure data storage space,
- Assist data modeling/ modeler according to the reporting needs and enable him/her with necessary information regarding requirement and data
Skills :
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst including, serving as a Data Analyst
- Experience with requirement analysis, data analysis, data mapping and SQL
- Experience driving meetings, leading team members,
- Experience assisting project manager to ensure projects are completed on time
- Experience with Retail systems and Marketing systems, Supply chain management and data analytics.
- Direct experience with Vendors and Customers
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Azure Cloud – Entry level proficiency
- Databricks, SSMS, MS-EXCEL for day-to-day data analysis
- Excellent problem solving, Critical and Analytical thinking skills
- Strong SQL Skills with working knowledge of advanced analytics
- Create Technical Design documents which include source to target
- Process overview, end to end systems analysis to create process flow
- Curating and maintaining Data dictionary
