E2Open is the Vertiv platform of choice for supplier engagement. The Vertiv ERPs are connected to E2Open through B2B, allowing for the automatic transmission of POs, forecasts, inventory, receipts and invoices. The suppliers are connected to E2Open either through B2B or through the E2Open User Interface (UI). The E2Open platform sits between the Supplier’s ERP and Vertivs’ ERPs. It allows for the automatic sharing of information between Vertiv and the supplier and vice versa, such as:
- Purchase Order
- Purchase Order Change (quantity, date, item)
- Purchase Order Response (Accept, accept with changes (including line split, Reject))
- Forecast
- Forecast Response
- Shipment
- Inventory
- Receipt
- Invoice
The Business Analyst – E2Open Integration, will implement the agreed processes between Vertiv and the Supplier and will ensure that the processes developed, work as planned. The BA will develop the test plan and will ensure that the testing is sufficient to enable approval of the process. The BA will lead the testing process with the suppliers. The BA will be instrumental in identifying solutions to integration issues as they arise, and such solutions must not deviate from the need to accommodate the business requirements. The BA will escalate and clearly articulate issues that are proving difficult to resolve, including issues that may have the potential to delay the planned implementation.
Requirements
- Intimate knowledge, both from a technical perspective and a practical perspective, of the Supply Chain processes within Oracle EBS.
- Understand the technical limitations of the Supply Chain module within Oracle EBS.
- Ability to lead both internal and external teams through test processes.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal.
- Organised, logical approach.
- Good Team player.
- Be able to manage within a matrix organisation; direction will likely come from IT, the Global Business Lead and the Regional Business Lead.
- Be able to manage time; the BA will be onboarding a number of suppliers at the same time.
Role
- Work through the implementation requirements with the supplier.
- Ensure that supplier is clear of what is required and has implemented any development work prior to SIT (System Integration Testing for B2B integration) commencing.
- Contribute to the development of any test plans.
- Ensure the supplier is clear about what they need to do when they go-live on E2open.
- Develop an implementation plan with the supplier, including a plan for testing, when necessary.
- Ensure the Vertiv user community has representatives available to support testing and schedule testing session with the suppliers and the User community.
- Work with each supplier as they go-live, monitor the transactions in E2open, follow up if transactions are not happening in the manner or time that they should be happening.
- Provide support to the Vertiv user community, be the first point of contact for any questions or issues associated with transacting through E2open.
- Communicate status reports as required and escalate when issues arise that require input and resolution from others.
- Develop strong working relationships with E2Open representatives, Business Leads, SMEs and the Oracle integration team.
- Participate in the regular status meetings and be prepared to provide updates.
