V-Soft Consulting is currently seeking SQL Report Writer client in Louisville, Kentucky. This is a contract position.
Education And Experience »
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a report development, business analytics, business intelligence or comparable role.
- Experience with Microsoft business intelligence tools, techniques, and technologies a plus – SSAS, SSRS & Power BI.
- Experience working with data warehouse.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities »
- Working knowledge for a programming language, such as but not limited to C#, php, html.
- Ability to write and troubleshoot new and existing PL/SQL, advanced experience working with SQL Server Management Studio highly preferred.
- Proven ability to help guide customers in refining data needs.
- Ability to facilitate information and requirements gathering sessions.
- Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with teammates when addressing issues delays and other needs.
What You’ll Do
Job Responsibilities:
- Understanding business stakeholders’ objectives, the metrics that are the most important to them, and how they measure their performance.
- Develop reporting utilizing various tools such as SQL, Power BI, HTML and similar tools.
- Act as the subject matter expert of business data, database structures and business rules.
- Utilize best practices in displaying real-time and massive amounts of data visually and effectively.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to determine and implement technical solutions to meet business requirements.
- Find and understand the correct data sources for a given analysis.
- Create technical documentation for necessary reporting and data requests on an as-needed basis.
- Train analysts and business users on report usage and interpretation.
- Other duties as assigned.
