Description

Summary: Performs analysis of external and internal data to support the company’s compensation programs. Participates in surveys, prepares management summaries, evaluates positions, and makes grade recommendations. Participates in the development of recommendations regarding compensation plan changes. Supports the yearly company-wide compensation review process.

  • Benchmarking: Performs market pricing of positions and analyze external competitive pay data; completes multiple local, national, and/or international surveys.
  • Compensation Analysis: Supports the analysis and review of pay structures; assists with merit budget review and recommendations; performs internal pay analyses and recommends appropriate action using market data and internal metrics when evaluating existing and new positions; recommends appropriate salary actions to HR partners with overall budget visibility; provides enterprise-wide data analytics and reporting.
  • HR Systems: Updates HRIS foundational tables including job code creation and grade range maintenance.
  • Annual Salary Increase Administration: Assists with the administration of the annual merit and midyear processes; responds to moderately complex compensation policies and practices inquiries; produces post merit cycle reports and analysis.
  • Project Management: Participates in, leads, and/or manages cross-functional project teams.

Minimally Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Labor Law and Compliance: Foundational knowledge of labor law as it relates to compensation policies and practices.
  • Process Improvement and HR Systems: Foundational knowledge and ability to navigate HR-related information systems and analyze data. Foundational analytical and trouble shooting skills. Ability to improve processes, promote excellence and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Rewards and Recognition: Foundational knowledge of and ability to interpret remuneration surveys and market data to make sound business decisions and recommendations about the design, delivery, and success of total rewards programs.
  • Judgment: Foundational knowledge of and proven ability to make timely critical decisions based on analysis of the information presented from ambiguous or conflicting situations or when there is an associated risk.
  • Project Management: Foundational knowledge of and ability to apply core project planning and management principles, guidelines and practices.
  • Relationship Management: Foundational skills in building and maintaining effective co-worker and associate relationships in all interactions.
  • Business Acumen: Foundational knowledge of the business structure, operations and key leaders to understand points of connection, alignment, standards and processes.
  • Software Applications: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, database and internet applications.
  • Communication: Advanced oral and written communication skills using different forms of media. Ability to translate complex concepts to individuals at all levels.
  • Customer Service Skills: Proven customer service skills.
  • Organization, Planning and Multi-tasking: Advanced organizational and planning skills. Proven ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision. Proven ability to coordinate activities.
  • Self-Management and Teamwork: Ability to work independently or as a member of the team, ability to be detailed-oriented and consistently accurate, ability to manage stress effectively in a fast-paced environment, and ability to quickly learn new systems, processes and procedures.

Qualifications

Minimally Required Education, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting or related field; or a combination of education and work experience that yields the minimally required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • 2 years related experience in human resources, compensation or finance
