Job Summary
The Senior Director, Data Product Delivery leads the Product Delivery team for the central data and analytics Data Lynx organization. This leader is responsible for the overall delivery of data and decision products ranging from curated datasets to insightful dashboards and AI ML applications. In addition, this leader is also responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients from all the business domains, keeping a tab on the data and insights needs of the business and helping to refine demand for data services. This leader oversees product delivery relationships between the data team and the business functions to make sure the central data and analytics Data Lynx team is delivering value to the business, including but not limited to Understanding the business needs and requirements, Funding, and budgets, measuring outcomes and value creation, scaled delivery that meets timelines and budget.
Job Responsibilities

  • Directs and oversees the team that conducts the overall planning, design, and development function that delivers data solutions.
  • Develops and oversees the implementation of agile data product delivery processes, and policies that have significant impact on the organization.
  • Uses technical knowledge to anticipate and understand the implications of the latest data technologies to communicate and evangelize them to appropriate audiences and to integrate these technologies appropriately into products and programs.
  • Sets performance and service standards. Leads in the acquisition and or development of new technologies and tools to improve the quality of the users experience without compromising service.
  • Ensures that investments in technology are appropriate to the developments in the industry and produce satisfactory returns. Adjusts data product strategy to support changing business directions.
  • Provides input into the formulation of the strategies of the IT function and based upon prevailing conditions, executes and or adjusts the approved strategies of the areas of accountability. Outcomes directed and influenced have major impact on the organizations short and long term results, critical customers or partners.
  • Sets financial, operational, and quality objectives for the unit and develops master operational plans. Plans, develops, and manages departmental expense and capital budgets.
  • Develops short range and long range product and service strategies and plans. Oversees the execution of operating plans for specified area of responsibility.
  • Performs as an idea generator, working with others as a thought leader and subject matter expert to help brainstorm new processes and solutions. Shares highly complex information related to areas of expertise. Interacts with senior management to keep abreast of objectives. Transfers knowledge and collaborates across functional lines and or across departments. Interacts with direct reports and peers in management or customers or vendors to interpret information and improve cross functional processes and programs. Builds and enhances key internal and external contacts.
  • Directs through others who mentor, coach and evaluate their respective teams and develop employees through onboarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes, builds and maintains employee morale and motivation, ensures the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies, fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years in product management in technology, retail and healthcare industry, directly or through consulting engagements or High School or GED and at least 11 years of experience of product management in technology, retail and healthcare industry, directly or through consulting engagements.
  • At least 6 years’ product leadership experience in data platforms and data products and decision or intelligence products
  • Experience with product development lifecycle and agile methodology and tools
  • Experience leading teams and setting direction.
  • Experience understanding customers’ business processes or drivers and informational needs
  • Experience working with business and technical leadership.
  • Experience interacting at the executive level.
  • At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as physics, electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Experience hiring, managing, coaching, and growing a team.
  • Experience with BI or data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau
  • Experience leading delivery teams to deploy large scale AI or ML & large scale optimization products
  • Advanced level skill with relational databases, operational data stores, and data lakes.
  • Experience leading large scale delivery of cloud data products
  • Intermediate level skill with SQL
