Yembo’s AI Team is hiring a graduate student intern for summer 2023 to work on our computer vision and deep learning stack! In this role, you will have the opportunity to explore, prototype, and develop new ways to improve the technologies that drive our category-defining moving and insurance products. If you are excited to apply cutting edge advances in 3D reconstruction and semantic recognition to the challenging task of indoor scene understand, we would love for you to join us this summer! You will work closely with the AI team to improve the indoor scene understanding algorithms that power Yembo’s products and take on high priority tasks that directly impact customers. Along the way, you will learn new skills and benefit from close mentorship by the experienced researchers and engineers on Yembo’s AI team.

Requirements
- Current MS/PhD student studying computer vision, deep learning, graphics, or a related subject
- Fluency in Python with experience working with PyTorch
- Solid foundation of 3D geometry fundamentals (e.g. linear algebra, camera geometry, projections)
- Strong software engineering skills with a demonstrated ability to work with and improve existing code bases (we love open source contributors!)
Bonus
- Familiarity with C/C++
- Familiarity with graphics APIs
- Familiarity working with Docker containers
- Prior work or intern experience at a startup
- Track record of publications at top computer vision and machine learning conferences
Outcomes
By the end of this internship, you will have delivered key features to Yembo’s core technology stack. If the project involves developing novel research, you may also have the opportunity to be a co-inventor on a patent or author on a published research paper.
Timeline:

Compensation: $45/hr USD ($21,600 for the summer based on 12 weeks x 40 hour/wk)*
- Based on a variety of factors, including location, relevant skills and years of experience
