Mission/Authority
This position is responsible for the management, development, support, and maintenance of all Human Resources and Benefits information systems. This position will research and evaluate new technologies or business applications that support the HR Mission Services strategic initiatives and goals and serve as a subject matter expert on Mission Services projects and initiatives.
Essential Duties:
Technology/HR and Benefits Systems
- Collaborate with the HR Architect by suggesting and implementing system enhancements and process improvements that fit within the direction of the HRIS roadmap.
- Supervise, train, share knowledge and distribute work with HRIS Analysts.
- Develop, deliver and maintain training for existing and new HR systems end-users.
- Work with HR staff to automate and improve internal and external processes through the use of Infor/Lawson automation tools, SSIS, and future ERP process tools.
- Oversee the HRIS database to ensure the functionality and integrity of HR-related data.
- Troubleshoot issues with the HRIS and work with HRIS/ERP Support to resolve issues as needed.
- Manage the process of reviewing, testing and implementing system upgrades or patches.
- Provide support and subject matter insight for all HR systems and applications as needed, including but not limited to the following:
- Infor/Lawson/ERP/HRIS
- YL Connect/Salesforce
- Mission Reports (SSRS)
- Information Builders
- Staff-Volunteer Roster
- Volunteers Manager Application
- HR Call Tracking
- Exit Interview Surveys
- Performance Appraisal Surveys
Data Mining and Reporting
- Query, compile, analyze, and interpret HR-related data and provide insight on personnel statistical data and reports for Young Life leadership to include the following:
- Infor/Lawson/ERP/HRIS Data.
- Background Check/Screening Status Data.
- Other special requests or miscellaneous mission-wide reporting needs.
- Work closely with the Mission Analytics team to deliver reports and dashboards to be consumed by HR and Mission leadership.
- Identify, develop and periodically review internal and external personnel reporting needs. Work with HR functional areas including Benefits, Payroll, Talent Management, Compensation, and Operations to report metrics and analyze data.
- Oversee the process of creating and maintaining databases/spreadsheets for HR reporting and analysis purposes.
- Oversee the integrity and accuracy of HR-related data.
- Ensure transmission of data is carried out using secure channels.
Working Conditions:
- This position is available for remote work with the U.S.
- This position has an anticipated salary range of $63,890 – $79,962 annually, depending on relevant experience and education.
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
Experience Required for The Job:
- Strong analytical skills.
- Desire experience configuring and supporting Lawson’s Employee/Manager Self-Service portal to streamline HR processes.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Excel (preferably VBA coding).
- Proficient at working with all levels of management and staff with interpersonal savvy and diplomacy.
- Superior communication skills both verbal and written.
- Desire experience and/or knowledge in other HR Systems.
- Must maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and the ability to see the big picture.
- Represent the HR department in a hospitable, professional manner to the mission of Young Life.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Knowledgeable and proficient with various reporting methods (Lawson, SQL Server Reporting Services, Business Objects, and SQL and/or SQL Server desirable).
- Strong understanding of databases and database structure and various computer systems in general.
- Programming languages and technologies: Oracle, SQL Server, Javascript, C#, .NET Framework, HTML, Visual Studio, SSRS, SSIS, TFS
