Job Location: Schaumburg, IL

Zurich North America is currently looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our growing Data & Analytics, MLOps team based out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. While this position will be based out of our Schaumburg Headquarters, we are offering the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely. You will collaborate with your manager to set a schedule that supports you, our customers, and the team.

Zurich North America’s Data & Analytics organization mission is to create and enable a more data-driven organization by enhancing the expertise of our decision makers, relentlessly imagining new ways to solve old problems, and reinventing old ways to tackle new challenges. The MLOps team provides engineering and platform capabilities needed to improve areas in operations, data curation, and platforms / engineering innovations.

The Business Systems Analyst, Data Analytics plays a critical role in the achievement of the organizational mission and goals outlined above and you will be responsible for the following:

  • Documenting data transformation requirements for the data integration projects and release workstreams
  • Preparing detailed examples for the data scenarios and calculations modules
  • Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by addressing data related queries raised by the UAT users
  • Working closely with the data integration developers to address data quality and data transformation related observations
  • Track, define, analyze, and document data sources throughout process lifecycle
  • Generating ad-hoc data reports for the business users to address data related questions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or Engineering and 5 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area
    AND
  • Process reengineering, e.g., LEAN/Six Sigma, Continuous improvement methodologies
  • Process modeling tools
  • Business Systems Integration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong technical acumen and data analysis skills
  • Data related problem-solving experience
  • Experience in intermediate complex enterprise projects
  • Technical documentation experience
  • Data review and analysis using SQL
  • Ability to work with limited guidance on the large-scale projects
  • Commercial Property & Casualty insurance knowledge and experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
